Youth Matters

The Youth Matters program is a series of school based modules that address issues and skills relevant to students and their school community. This program is very unique compared to others of its kind. In the Youth Matters program the presenter doesn't give students information as much as they give them the opportunity to learn from their own experience. Students don't just "Learn Stuff", they personalize each topic or skill and apply it to their everyday lives. In this way, the Youth Matters program is guided by the presenter, powered by the students. Each program will be presented by a highly qualified, trained staff person. Smart Choices

Smart Choices is a program for 5th and 6th graders. The program is designed to deal with the challenges and pressures of pre-teens and teens emphasizing responsible decision making to avoid substance abuse, including alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The use of playlets, role playing and small group discussion is utilized in 2-3 one-hour sessions.
