Elks Peer Leadership Conference

Each year, Prevention Links partners with the New Jersey State Elks Association to coordinate a statewide peer leadership conference. Now in its 18th year, the Elks Conference features nationally recognized speakers that engage youth and encourage students to return to their communities and implement the ideas they obtained at the conference. The weekend long conference is intended to raise awareness about the risks and consequences of substance abuse while motivating students to continue to strive for their goals. Approximately 800 students from all parts of the state attend the conference each year. Highlights of the conference have included a carnival, dance, open mic night, and hypnotist among many other activities.
